Root canal treatment (Endodontics)

Who provides the treatment?

Root canal treatments are carried out by Dr Suhail Bhatti, Mr Reza Roudsari and Dr Carmen Arpa.

How long is the appointment?

The treatment time is approximately 2 hours. Occasionally, where there are complications or if treatment is not clear, a consultation will be arranged before the start of the treatment. The cost of the consultation is £85. If you go ahead with the treatment this will be deducted from the total cost of your treatment.

How much will it cost?

The cost of a root canal treatment is £435. If your tooth is already root treated and you require a re-treatment, the cost will be £535.

Once the root canal treatment is completed, we place a permanent white filling to stop the bacteria re-entering the tooth. The cost of this filling is £98. Depending on the status of your tooth, we may still advise you to have a crown made by your referring dentist.

In cases where a tooth is investigated but root canal treatment is not recommended (for example when there is a fracture) the cost of the treatment is £195.

Dental implants

Who provides the treatment?

Implants are provided by Mr Harun Yusuf and Dr Suhail Bhatti.

What kind of dental implants do you use?

There are over 800 systems of dental implants available worldwide. We use Dentsply Astra dental implants, which are one of the market leaders and have several years of research and innovation to backup their high success rate.

How long is the appointment?

You will need an initial consultation to assess if your bone and gum is suitable for dental implants. When booked for implant placement, the appointment is approximately 40 minutes for a single dental implant. The implant is then left to heal within your bone. A small second surgery may be needed to "expose" the dental implant and start the construction of the prosthesis. The second surgery is approximately 20 minutes for a single dental implant.

Depending on the type of the prosthesis being made over the dental implants, you will need a number of further appointments, each for approximately 30 minutes.

From the day of the consultation until the fit of the prosthesis it takes an average of 6 months for the treatment to be completed.

How much does it cost?

Costs vary depending on the number of the implants, type of the prosthesis and complexity of the work, starting at £2500 for a single tooth implant and crown which is spread over the 6 months. The initial consultaion with both clinicians costs £85.

Toothwear

How can I improve my smile?

The appearance of your teeth and  smile is an important part of your personality. We can help to improve your smile using non-tooth destructive techniques.

We will look at all options such as composites, bleaching and orthodontics to improve your smile. We do on occasion provide crowns and veneers to improve a smile but this is as a last resort as crowns and veneers permanently damage tooth tissue resulting in long term problems.

As experienced specialists we can look at techniques general dental practitioners may not be familiar with.

we also have extensive experience in treating toothwear which is now much more common due to dietary changes.

Who provides the treatment?

Dr Suhail Bhatti and Mr Reza Roudsari will provide the treatment.

How much does it cost?

Depending on the nature of your toothwear, complexity and your treatment needs, the price varies. You will receive a detailed discussion on the status of your teeth, the options availble to you and their costs at the consultation.
